Want to understand how scales work?

Circle of Fifths Masterclass

The Circle of Fifths Masterclass

Whether key signatures are completely new to you, or you could simply use a refresher, no judgment, I’m delighted to be hosting my first masterclass.

The Circle of Fifths is a music theory tool that shows how sharp and flat keys are organized. In this live, interactive class, we’ll take the mystery out of it step by step and look at how it connects to scales, key signatures, chords, and the music you actually play.

By the end of class, you’ll be able to build a major scale starting on any note, find the relative minor of any major key, and understand how the Circle of Fifths works as a practical tool.

Worksheets will be provided, and no music reading is required. This class is open to pianists and non-pianists alike, so if you have friends who are music-theory curious, they are very welcome to join us.

Sunday, July 12 · 2:00 PM Eastern / 11:00 AM Pacific · Live online
Those unable to attend will receive the recording.

As a thank-you for being on this list, you’re invited to register with $5 off through the link below.

A Glimpse of Studio Life

Spring 2026 Recording Project Recital

This spring, students gathered online for the studio recital, with performances from adult students at different stages of study.

For some, the recital marked a first performance. For others, it was a return to playing for an audience after many years away from the piano. As always, the recital was less about perfection and more about giving the work a shape: a piece prepared, a goal met, and a moment shared with the studio community.

You can watch a short medley from our Spring Recital here.
