Privacy Policy

Music with Monique, LLC

Effective and last updated: June 13, 2026

We are a boutique piano studio. We collect personal information when you contact us, message us on social media, schedule a call, take a lesson, or visit our website. We use that information to respond to you, teach, manage scheduling and payment, send studio updates if you ask for them, and measure advertising that reaches the right people. We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not send marketing text messages.

The longer document below explains the specifics. If you ever want to know what we have on file, change it, or delete it, write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days unless a different period is required by applicable law.

SECTION 1Who we are

This policy applies to Music with Monique, LLC, doing business as Monique Arar Studio. We operate the website musicwithmonique.com and provide piano and music theory instruction, primarily online to students across the United States. Our current advertising and enrollment workflows are oriented toward U.S. prospects and students. If we begin actively advertising or operating in additional jurisdictions with different privacy requirements, we may add jurisdiction-specific disclosures or controls.

You can reach us at:

  • Email: [email protected]
  • Mailing address: 10409 Pacific Palisades Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89144, USA

SECTION 2The information we collect

Information you give us directly

  • Information you provide when scheduling a call or consultation through Calendly, including answers to intake questions
  • Payment information for the Consultation and Assessment and ongoing lessons, handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers
  • The content of emails or messages you send us
  • Information about a minor child if you are a parent or guardian inquiring on their behalf, usually the child's first name, age, and musical background

Information you give us through Instagram and Facebook

When you message us, comment on a post, reply to a story, or interact with one of our ads on Instagram or Facebook, we may collect the content of those interactions and your public profile information, such as your username, display name, profile picture, and platform user ID. If you choose to share your email address or phone number during a conversation, we collect that too. We use ManyChat to manage and automate some of these conversations; see Section 4 for what that involves.

  • Standard server log data, including IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, time spent, and referring website
  • Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, as described in Section 6
  • Engagement data, for example whether you clicked a particular link in a newsletter or scheduling message

Information we receive from third parties

  • Lead information submitted to us through Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Lead Ads
  • Lead information submitted through Google Lead Form Extensions, if used
  • Scheduling information from Calendly, including source or campaign information attached to the scheduling link if you came from an ad, email, or social media message
  • Payment confirmation and limited payment-related details from Stripe
  • Engagement information from social media platforms when you interact with our pages, posts, messages, or ads

We do not ask for sensitive personal information and we do not use sensitive information for advertising or enrollment decisions. Please do not send us sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your inquiry. We do not want your Social Security number, government ID number, bank account number, health information, race, religion, sexual orientation, political affiliation, or similar information.

SECTION 3How we use the information

We use personal information to:

  • Reply to your inquiry and arrange a conversation

  • Schedule and deliver free calls, consultations, lessons, group classes, and recitals
  • Take payment for paid services through Stripe

  • Send studio newsletters and occasional updates only if you subscribed or otherwise asked to receive them; you can unsubscribe at any time
  • Place phone calls related to your inquiry or active enrollment, where you provided a phone number; we do not send automated or marketing text messages
  • Measure and improve advertising on Meta, Google, YouTube, and similar platforms, including understanding whether ads lead to scheduled calls
  • Create or exclude advertising audiences, including audiences based on people who have already contacted the studio or similar audiences created by the advertising platforms
  • Maintain reasonable business, tax, payment, security, and operational records
  • Improve our website, communications, and teaching operations

SECTION 4Advertising, analytics, scheduling, and the third parties we use

This section explains who else may receive some information about you when you interact with our website, ads, forms, scheduling pages, social media accounts, or messages.

Meta (Facebook and Instagram)

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram and may use Meta Lead Ads, the Meta Pixel, Meta Custom Audiences, and the Meta Conversions API. This means:

  • When you submit a Meta Lead Form for our studio, your information is transferred from Meta to us. Meta's collection and use of that information before it reaches us is governed by Meta's own privacy policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
  • When you visit musicwithmonique.com, the Meta Pixel may record that visit so we can measure ads and show relevant content to people who have shown interest.
  • We may upload a hashed version of email addresses we already have, for example current students, past students, or people who have inquired, so Meta can show our ads to those people, exclude them, or find similar people. This is called Custom Audiences.
  • We may use the Meta Conversions API, which sends some activity and contact information to Meta from our systems or vendor systems, server to server, for measurement and advertising purposes.

You can adjust how Meta uses information about you in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings. You can also ask us to remove or suppress your email address from audiences we control by writing to [email protected].

ManyChat

We use ManyChat to manage and automate some conversations on Instagram and Facebook Messenger. When you message us, comment on a post we have set up to respond to, reply to one of our stories, or click an ad that opens a message conversation, ManyChat may process, on our behalf:

  • Your conversation history with us
  • Your Instagram or Facebook user ID and public profile information, such as username, display name, and profile picture
  • Automated replies sent to you
  • Any email address, phone number, or other detail you choose to provide during the conversation
  • Tags, custom fields, or notes that help us keep track of where you are in the inquiry or enrollment process
  • Interaction data, such as whether you clicked a reply button or a scheduling link

ManyChat processes this information primarily as our service provider for messaging automation. ManyChat may also process some account, security, usage, or compliance information under its own privacy policy. ManyChat's privacy practices are described at manychat.com/legal/privacy.

About automated replies. Some responses you receive from us on Instagram or Facebook are sent automatically through ManyChat rather than typed by a person in the moment. You can always continue the conversation to reach a real person, and you can ask us to stop messaging you or delete your ManyChat conversation record, subject to reasonable recordkeeping needs.

Google (Search, Display, YouTube, Analytics, and Fonts)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use our website, and we may run advertising through Google Ads, including Search, the Google Display Network, and YouTube. This means:

  • Google Analytics may place cookies or similar technologies on your device and report aggregate website behavior to Google.
  • Google Ads may place conversion-tracking and remarketing cookies or similar technologies so we can measure ads and show ads on Google Search, partner websites, and YouTube after someone has visited our site.
  • If you submit a Google Lead Form Extension on one of our ads, that information is transferred to us by Google.
  • Our website may load fonts from Google Fonts. When that happens, your browser may connect to Google's servers to download the font files.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and you can adjust ad personalization in your Google account at adssettings.google.com.

Calendly

Free fifteen-minute calls and consultations are scheduled through Calendly. When you book a call, Calendly collects your name, email address, phone number if requested, time zone, and answers to intake questions, and shares them with us. Scheduling links may include source or campaign information, such as which ad, email, or social media message led you to the booking page. We may use Calendly's integrations or tracking settings to understand whether a scheduling page visit resulted in a booked call. Calendly's privacy practices are described at calendly.com/privacy.

Video calls and online lessons

We use a third-party video-conferencing service, currently Zoom, to hold free calls, consultations, lessons, group classes, and online recitals. We may use a different provider in the future. The provider may process your name, email address, IP address, device information, meeting metadata, and any chat messages or files shared during a session. Zoom's privacy practices are described at zoom.com/en/trust/privacy. We do not record lessons or classes by default. We sometimes record recitals, performances, or short lesson excerpts, and we use a recording, photograph, or quoted testimonial publicly, including in advertising, only with the participant's written consent (or a parent's or guardian's written consent for a minor).

Stripe

Payment for the Consultation and Assessment and tuition is processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and stores payment card information directly; we do not store full card numbers. Stripe's privacy practices are at stripe.com/privacy.

Mailchimp

Our newsletter and some studio email are sent through Mailchimp. If you subscribe or otherwise ask to receive studio updates, Mailchimp stores your email address and basic engagement information, such as which emails you opened and which links you clicked, on our behalf. Mailchimp's privacy practices are described by Intuit at intuit.com/privacy.

Weebly

Our website is hosted on Weebly, a Square product. Weebly collects standard hosting and analytics data described in Square's privacy policy at squareup.com/legal/privacy.

Google Workspace (internal records)

We may use Google Workspace, including Google Sheets and Google Drive, to keep internal operational records such as inquiries, scheduling status, follow-up notes, and lead lists exported from the tools above. Access is limited to the people who need it. Google's privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy.

We may add or change vendors over time. Material changes will be reflected in the next version of this policy.

SECTION 5How we communicate with you

When you give us your email address through a form, conversation, or Calendly booking, we use it to communicate with you about your inquiry, lessons, scheduling, payments, and, if you subscribed or otherwise asked to receive them, studio updates. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribe requests promptly, within 10 business days at the latest.

We also communicate with people who reach us on Instagram and Facebook. Some replies in those channels are automated, as described in Section 4. You can ask us to stop messaging you on social media at any time.

We do not send marketing text messages and we do not use automated dialing systems for phone calls. If you gave us your phone number, we may call you about scheduling, your inquiry, or active enrollment, and you can ask us not to call you at any time.

SECTION 6Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies

Our website uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for three purposes:

  • Strictly necessary, to make the site work and remember basic preferences
  • Analytics, such as Google Analytics, to understand how the site is used
  • Advertising and measurement, such as the Meta Pixel, Google Ads remarketing, conversion tracking, and similar tags, to measure our advertising and reach relevant audiences

You can control cookies through your browser settings and the platform-specific controls described in Section 4.

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal or a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Our website does not currently respond automatically to DNT or GPC signals. Some of the third parties named in Section 4 may collect information about your activity across other websites over time when you use our website, and their response to DNT, GPC, or similar signals is governed by their own policies and systems. To opt out of advertising and analytics tracking, use the choices in Sections 4 and 7, including the platform-level controls offered by Meta and Google, or email us at [email protected] to remove or suppress your information from advertising audiences we control.

SECTION 7How we share information

We share information only with:

  • Service providers, including Calendly, Stripe, Mailchimp, ManyChat, Weebly/Square, video-conferencing providers, Google Workspace, and other vendors that help us operate the studio
  • Advertising and analytics partners, including Meta and Google, which receive information as described in Section 4 to measure advertising, build audiences, and show relevant ads
  • Legal authorities when required by valid legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or the safety of others
  • A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business, in which case this policy will continue to apply or the new entity's policy will be made available

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some privacy laws may treat certain advertising activities, such as pixels, remarketing tags, or hashed email audience uploads, as a sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, even when no money changes hands. If those laws apply to you and to us, you may have the right to opt out of those activities.

To ask us to remove or suppress your information from advertising audiences we control, email [email protected]. You can also use the platform-level controls described in Section 4, including Facebook and Instagram ad settings, Google ad personalization settings, and the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

SECTION 8How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. As a rule:

  • Inquiry information from prospects who do not enroll, kept for up to 24 months from the last contact, then deleted unless we need to keep a limited record for legal, accounting, dispute-resolution, fraud-prevention, or suppression-list purposes
  • Instagram and Facebook conversation records held in ManyChat, kept while you remain an active contact and for up to 24 months after your last interaction with us, then deleted unless we need to keep a limited record for legal, dispute-resolution, fraud-prevention, or suppression-list purposes; if you become a student, student-record retention may apply instead
  • Student records, kept while the student is active and for up to 7 years afterward, primarily for tax, payment, business, and continuity records
  • Newsletter subscriber lists, kept while you are subscribed and removed within 30 days of unsubscribing; we may retain a minimal suppression record so we do not accidentally re-add you
  • Payment and tax records, kept as required for accounting, tax, and legal purposes
  • Server logs and analytics data, kept according to the settings and default retention of the relevant platform

SECTION 9Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights with respect to your personal information.

For everyone

  • Ask us what information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep
  • Unsubscribe from marketing email at any time
  • Ask us to stop messaging you on Instagram or Facebook
  • Ask us to delete your conversation record held in ManyChat, subject to reasonable recordkeeping needs
  • Adjust your cookie preferences in your browser and use the platform-level opt-outs described in Section 4

U.S. state privacy rights, where applicable

Residents of California and of other U.S. states with applicable comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights. Where those laws apply, they include:

  • The right to know or access the personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we share it with, which is what Sections 2, 3, and 4 describe
  • The right to delete your personal information, subject to limited exceptions
  • The right to correct inaccurate information
  • The right to opt out of targeted advertising and of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell personal information for money; we do use the advertising tools described in Sections 4 and 7, and you can opt out using the methods listed there
  • The right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, which we do not seek or use beyond what is necessary to provide our services

To exercise a privacy right, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days, with the option to extend by another 30 days for complex requests, and we will verify your identity before fulfilling a request, usually by confirming the email address we have on file. You may also use an authorized agent to submit a request; we may ask for written proof of their authority.

We do not use personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

SECTION 10How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information we hold. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work with reputable vendors and limit access to information to the people who need it. If we become aware of a data incident that legally requires notice, we will notify affected individuals and/or authorities as required by applicable law.

SECTION 11Children's information

Lessons for children are taught only for students aged 10 and over, and inquiries about minors must come from a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. The limited information we hold about a minor, usually a first name, age, and musical background, is collected from the parent or guardian.

Children should not contact us directly through Instagram, Facebook, or automated message flows. If someone contacts us about lessons for a minor, we may route the conversation to a parent or guardian. Social media platforms set their own minimum ages, and inquiries about a minor's lessons should come from a parent or guardian.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe we may have collected information directly from your child under 13, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

SECTION 12Updates to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent version. Material changes will be reflected on this page and, when appropriate, announced on the website or by email to current students and subscribers.
